Jaipur, May 24, 2014: To ensure that the much awaited summer break is a time to relax and rejuvenate, the school organised a special ‘Summer Camp’ for the students of Class Prep to Class V, from May 15, 2014 to May 24, 2014.
The camp saw an overwhelming participation by 150 students, eager to avail the rich experience this camp offered in Sports, Craft, Music, Dance, Theatre, French and Robotics. Special Coaches/Trainers and expert faculty members held sessions every day from 6.00 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.
The School Ground was abuzz with hectic sports activities in Basket Ball, Football, Badminton, Cricket, Table Tennis, Short Tennis, Taekwondo, Skating, Yoga and Swimming. There were over 15 Sports Teachers and Trainers present to sharpen the students’ skills in sports.
In Art and Craft, the students were taught the finer nuances of ‘Mural Painting’. Guitar lessons and training in classical music formed a part of the Music Workshop. The students also got an opportunity to fine tune their steps in western dance, and learnt the intricacies of Indian Classical Dance.
The Theatre Workshop offered training in Hindi and English Dramatics. Apart from dealing with ‘stage fear’, voice modulation, the workshop offered training in Mono acting, Nukkad Natak, Mime, Writing a script, Prop-A–Tory, etc.
The ‘Robotics Lego’, Manual Robotics, Digital Photography and Video Editing workshops honed the skills of students in Robotic Constructions and Advanced Programming.
Needless to say, the students were exposed to very invigorating learning sessions with ‘hands-on-experience’ in all hobbies they wished to pursue.
The camp came concluded on May 24, 2014, with a special assembly, wherein the students shared their experiences of the camp. Several displays, namely, Art display, Sculpture display, French conversations, Mime and Musical displays were showcased.
